Our Dad is a big sports fan. It's probably because he's really good at playing sports. From the time he was really little he played cricket and tennis and as he got older he mostly played tennis. Mum says he's pretty cool as he even represented Australia for tennis and has lots and lots of medals and trophies for Australian titles. One day she said she'll show them to me.

At the moment the Cricket World Cup is on. Mum doesn't enjoy watching cricket all that much and I'm not sure I've acquired a taste for it either. I'm going to ponder it for a while longer before I make a decision.

Fun family fact: my feline sister is named Cricket but we actually call her Kiki. A couple of summers ago Mum took Dad along to the pound "just to have a look". Dad was a little bit cranky as the trip meant interrupting watching the cricket. The story goes they saw a beautiful little kitty in sleeping in a hammock. She had been very sick and nearly died and Mum and Dad fell in love with her on the spot. Mum said Dad could choose her name and "Cricket" it became. We usually call her Kiki for short.
